Dogs and Cats and Electrical Wires!
Uh oh- it's that time of year again...you know Christmas and all of the
decorations that goes with it. If you're one to put up a tree and lights and
you own pets, then you have to be very careful.
Dogs and cats like children, are low to the ground and love to explore.
Exploring the cords and wires is big to mischievous cats and dogs
right about now, but this year you'll be prepared.
Prepare with bubble wrap, yes the same stuff you find in that box of
goodies from mom or grandmom, can now protect your cords and wires.
Dogs and cats dislike the feel of something foreign and that includes
plastic.
Just place the bubble wrap around the cords and wires that are exposed,
and let your dogs and cats have at the cords and wires.
After a few days of trying, they'll give up and move on,
and at that point, you can remove the bubble wrap.
So, if you were dreading the holidays and the decorations
because of your pets, rejoice and give thanks to Bubble wrap.
And one more tip: Do not put aluminum foil around cords and wires,
although it may seem tempting and it may work, it may cause a health
hazard for you and your family.
That's it- Enjoy the Holidays!
Good Luck!

Slow Down Your Doggy!
Is your dog a speed eater? Dogs eat quickly for a number of reasons, like...
stress, competition (if you have more than one dog) the times they have to wait
for a meal or the fear that it may be his or her last meal.
To slow him or her down- do the following...
Instead of putting their food in the center, press the wet food up and around
the sides. This forces them to eat more slowly, preventing problems
like intestinal upsets (you know gas).
That's it- and if you feed your dog dry food, this tip may not work.
Good Luck!

Do Away With The Kitty-Litter Scent!
Does your cat scratch around his or her kitty litter box and
tear the liner? Well, believe it or not, a solution is right
on your kitchen table, what is it? Some sugar!
Sprinkle some sugar in the pan before you add a new liner.
The sugar absorbs any liquid that seeps through the tears,
so you won't find those pesky clumps.
And if you're worry about the sugar attracting flies, gnats,
and the other small insects-don't worry, the kitty litter masks
the sugar's scent.
That's it- another simple solution for your beloved cat.
Good Luck!

Stop Kitty's Bad Breath!
Dogs are like humans, they pass gas, their stomachs make rumbling
noises and sometimes their breath is worse than a sewer.
But what about cats? Yes, cats also have bad breath and the fix is
as simple as going to your produce store.
The fix: Cucumbers!
That's right- the salad ingedient can help your feline friend get over
his or her case of bad breath.
The vegetable is rich in compounds that kill odor-causing bacteria
in their mouth. Plus, cats love the crunchy texture and the amount of water
in the food. Give them a thin slice and see if they'll take it, if not you
may have to cut a thin slice or two and mix it into their regular food.
Add a few more slices as the weeks pass, but no more than 4 slices.
Do the cucumbers about 2 to 3 times a week and see if it makes a difference.
Good Luck!

Stop The Gas Attacks!
Has your dog been creating a stink around the house?
Well, dogs get gas just like humans and the cause of their gas may
be due to a sluggish digestive tract.
To fix this problem, buy some plain yogurt and mix it into (a tbsp. or two)
his or her bowl of food. Do this once a day and see if the yogurt
stops it.
Why yogurt? It contains probiotic bacteria that boosts the body's
production of digestive enzymes that help prevent excess gas, so your
furry companion will get some-much-needed relief and you and your family
can get a chance to exhale and let your breath out.
And if you have a cat with the same problem, give him or her
a tbsp. of plain yogurt in their food.
Good Luck!
