No More Digging!
You go to great lengths to keep the yard looking nice and in a matter of days
or hours your dog (s) can make it (the yard) look like a bomb (or bombs) were
set off.
How?
By digging one or more holes.
And how do you put an end to this reckless behavior?
By designating a part of the yard "just for digging!"
That's right- a spot all his or her own.
The recipe for your dog's own digging spot-
Dig a small hole in a part of the yard that's out of sight or rarely used,
place some of his favorite toys (or clothes with your scent) in the hole,
cover the hole and lead the dog to the spot.
You may have to bury the toys for a week or two to make sure your dog
gets used to his "special digging spot!"
This simple trick should keep your dog busy and focused and your
yard "crater-free".
And one last tip-
Make sure your dog gets enough exercise, digging holes can result from
boredom and having too much energy to burn.
Good Luck!
