Getting Back Your Wandering Pooch!
You bring your dog to the local park and take his or her leash off and
in no time- your dog is running away, far away from you. You call and call-
but he or she isn't hearing it, Ah- what do you do?
Well, don't kill him or her, do this instead...
Call him or her and start running in the opposite direction,
your dog should chase after you, thinking you're playing a game.
When he or she does get close enough, give them a treat, ( a biscuit,
a piece of beef jerky or half a rice cake) . And when they take the treat,
put the leash back on.
After this, you may want to walk him or her first and tire them out and then
taket he leash off, or get a longer leash and maintain control throughout the visit
to the park.
